Happy February, friends! Are you on Periscope? Come join me here!
We are 32 days into 2016, so I decided to shoot a quick scope sharing a few of my business and personal goals this year, along with my progress thus far.

For 2016, my priorities are expanding my knowledge and skill set, healthier living (treating my body like a temple), and committing to a daily routine of specific benchmarks for my growing virtual business. How do these translate into goals?
– Read one book each month. I really enjoy reading and I’ve not made it enough of a priority over the last few years, so in 2016 I’m reading one book each month. If you read just 10-15 pages per day…you can be through a 200-300 page book in NO TIME. I just finished Darren Hardy’s “The Compound Effect” and can’t wait to share my favorite nuggets in a future post!
– Exercise 4-5 times per week for 15-30 minutes. Confession. I’m NOT a huge fan of working out. I get bored quickly and I’m constantly thinking of other things I need to do. This HAS to be a priority if I want to maintain my health so I can take care of those around me. They say you can’t take care of others if you’re not taking care of yourself…so I’ve committed to getting up early to get my sweat on and stay fit. I’m actually LOVING the workout program I’m doing and will review it for you soon!
In addition to staying active, I’ve also started drinking whole fruit and veggie smoothies and juices. My parents gave us a Blendtec high-powered blender for Christmas and I’ve been working that thing overtime! I can’t say enough good things about it. Stay tuned for a few of my favorite smoothie recipes!
– Set key daily activities for moving my business forward and journal my progress. This has been phenomenal! As a virtual business owner, knowing your success benchmarks is CRITICAL. These are going to look different for everyone, depending on what type of business you own and how long you’ve been running it. For me, committing to a few of these activities every day, then tracking the progress so I can analyze at the end of the month has been hugely rewarding in achieving my monthly an quarterly goals.
How are YOUR 2016 resolutions? Is it time to get back on track? Or do you have an achievement to celebrate! I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
