I’m thrilled to share episode #2 of my new Virtual Biz Chats series! Today I get to introduce you to my buddy Bonnie Cribbs. Because I run a virtual social commerce business, I tend to meet a TON of people online…and that’s exactly how I stumbled across Bonnie. We had an instant friendship.
Jen never saw skincare sales as a part of her future. In fact, she started her career in the military…which is where she also met her husband. The two of them were often deployed…making it difficult to build a future and grow a family. I'm SO ecstatic about today's announcement! Starting a video interview series has been on my goal board for the last TWO years, y'all. Seems like every time I'd start working on this project I'd hit a brick wall with not having (or understanding) the technology needed to move forward OR another area of my business or career was requiring major focus. Well, I'm thrilled to say I've finally put the right pieces in place to make my Virtual Biz Chats video series a reality!
As our family rings in the New Year, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite, special moments of the last 12 months. So many things happen throughout the year, it's important to take the time to pause, reflect, and express gratitude. I thought this post would be a good way to do that. I hope you enjoy getting a glimpse into my life over the last year and the amazing people in it! :)
Before I started my direct sales business, I couldn't imagine adding one more commitment to my already very busy schedule. I was engaged. We were in the throes of wedding planning. I was facing corporate downsizing and looking for another job. I was serving on two non-profit boards. I'd just started a side business doing freelance new media consulting. How could I possibly add one more thing to my plate?
Have you ever wondered why someone starts a virtual franchise? Perhaps you're thinking of starting one yourself? Most people get started because they're looking for a way a flexible way to earn some extra money alongside a job or family. Others may do it because they've found a product they enjoy using and want access to the distributor discount.
Have you ever thought you are "too busy," "too educated," or "too successful" to even consider or look at a side gig? If there was ever a someone who is all three of these, it's this gal! Meet Jena.
When I was first approached about starting a virtual business, the idea sounded laughably impossible. By working my virtual business in 15-minute increments alongside that full-time job, my online enterprise allowed me to leave that former employer by choice. What a blessing!
